I've come back from Lake Simtustus with over 750 photos. And it would've been more, but other people who I let use my camera on occasion would forget to turn the battery off. So It went out halfway through my last day. Unfortunate, but I did still get some good shots, some fun shots, and some "why did I take that?" shots.

I should stop lending my camera to my dad and tell him to buy his own. He always borrows it for weeks at a time, and that's always when I feel like going out to take pictures most. How bothersome.

Full Manual

0 min read
I have always loved my Dad's old manual film-camera. Taking pictures in either black and white or color always turned out amazing. Part of that is because when you're on manual, with actual film, you put a lot of effort and time to creating a perfect shot with the best f-stop/shutter speed combination and waiting for the exact right moment. With digital cameras, so much of that is lost. All of a sudden you're taking pictures of every small thing that comes along not messing with the lighting and leaving it on auto, taking as many pictures as you want, because , hey I can delete them all.  I didnt want a digital because of that, but I got one

Thanks! I was surprised at the results too, especially with a very basic point and shoot camera I had at the time.
